I’m currently sipping an iced tea. My morning walk was finished by 9 a.m. and now I’m hiding inside the air conditioning while the weather roars into the low 90s today. It’ll be rip roaring hot during the weekend and into the better part of next week. My apron swings as the fan breezes by it, cold brew coffee chills serenely in the fridge and stacks of ice are piled up in the freezer.
The question that comes to mind is the age old “what’s for dinner” one. I often wonder if our ancient ancestors had the same question. Surely it’s a universal issue? It seems too hot to heat the oven and grilling outside over flames seems like stepping onto the hot coals of hell. Here are a few ideas to get our creativivity flowing, hopefully not like lava.
