Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles

I can eat fried chicken and not get fat! Yes! Yes! Yes!

This is a fast meal to make and it doesn't take serious skills to put together. The best part is the  chicken is crunchy and flavorful. To make things fast and easy I bought the waffles. This is a weeknight meal and weeknight meals in my house can't take forever. I don't want to yank out the air fryer and the waffle maker, both of which are stored elsewhere, to make dinner.

I also want to warn you. This meal is addictive. I could seriously have eaten another serving. Also, this chicken is very seasoned and it's best to eat the chicken with the waffles and syrup. These aren't meant to eat solo. But everything comes together when the chicken tops the waffle and the syrup is drizzled over the whole thing.

The best part is the calories. The "fried" chicken, waffles and syrup are 306 calories / 30g carb / 6g fat / 35g protein. Not too shabby right?
  • You can soak the raw chicken in buttermilk for an hour for even more tender chicken if you like.
