Farmers Market Finds

For me Saturday mornings are about rummaging through my local farmer's market. After hand picking fresh and fabulous food finds, possible recipes always race through my mind. The latest quandry...what to do with the red and yellow sweet peppers recently acquired. Never a fan of stuffed peppers, I immediately shyed away from the idea. I ended up blanching the peppers to slightly decrisp them, then sauted some pungent onion, a healthy amount of garlic and a bit of browned spicy sausage - all was folded into some stuffing, stuffed into the slightly crisp peppers and broiled until the breading was crusted. The result - comfort food at its absolute best. Guess I'm a stuffed pepper convert!
